Coillte Projects

As you probably know Coillte the Irish Forestry Board in partnership with Failte Ireland and local community groups and developing a number of mountain bike facilities. They will see a total of €2 million euro being spent on over 100 km of designated mountain bike trails. The details of each are as follows:

MBI Sign Up With The Dublin Mountains Initiative

Dublin Mountains Initiative (DMI) are a recently formed association of outdoor recreational user groups, calling for the radical development of the leisure and recreational facilities of the Dublin Mountains.

Chairman of the DMI, Mark d’Alton, said “We represent all those who utilise the Dublin Mountains for recreational purposes – both those who are members of our affiliated groups and the many non-specialised users of the Dublin Mountains who, not being members of any particular grouping, have no means of conveying what the mountains mean to them and how they would like to see them developed.”
